About Planning Drawings
Planning Drawings is a trading name of Property Architecture Ltd, and the practice was founded in 2026. Chartered architectural technologists draw each set, a second technologist checks it before submission, and our fees are published with no VAT to add.

What is Planning Drawings?
Planning Drawings prepares residential drawings for homes in all 33 London boroughs and 17 councils outside London. It is a trading name of Property Architecture Ltd, and the practice was founded in 2026. Each set is drawn by an MCIAT chartered architectural technologist, backed by £2m of professional indemnity insurance, and the practice is LABC Partnered and ICO registered. Its fees are published with no VAT to add.
Planning Drawings concentrates on London homes and on the whole route of a standard house project, from the first measurement to the builder on site.
Which professional bodies and registrations stand behind the work?
Four credentials stand behind the work: MCIAT membership, £2m professional indemnity insurance, LABC Partnered status and ICO registration.
- MCIAT: Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. Our drawings come from chartered architectural technologists.
- £2m professional indemnity insurance.
- LABC Partnered.
- ICO registered, with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Why is the person who checks your set never the person who drew it?
Whoever drew your set takes no part in checking it, so every sheet is read by someone who did not make it. A second chartered technologist tests each sheet against your council’s local validation list and planning policy, and a senior reviewer then clears the set for submission.
Because each sheet comes out of one Revit model of the house, the checker reviews drawings that already agree with one another on dimensions.
Which promises can you hold us to, and which can we not make?
Planning Drawings promises published fees, drawings about 7 days after the survey, free redraws until approval and a same-day reply to messages sent before 3pm. It does not promise approval or a decision date, because the council decides and sets its own timing.
- Fixed fees, published with no VAT to add. The council’s application fee is paid to the council separately, and the measured building survey is a separate £150 fee, shown beside each drawing fee with the total.
- A gap of about 7 days between the survey and your drawings.
- Free redraws of our drawings until approval, whenever the council asks for changes.
- If you write before 3pm, you hear back that same working day.
- No promise of approval or of a decision date: the council decides, and it sets its own timing.

Questions about who we are
Is Planning Drawings a firm of architects?
No. Planning Drawings is not a firm of architects: its sets are drawn by chartered architectural technologists. Section 20 of the Architects Act 1997 restricts use of the title “architect”, so we describe our work as architectural design and drawings instead.
